About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This is a two-seater sofa designed in the 1970s by Luigi Massoni for Poltrona Frau, fully upholstered in cognac-colored leather. The design is a characteristic example of mid-century Italian design, known for its sculptural forms and the use of high-quality materials.
The sofa features a striking silhouette defined by a solid, block-like base and wide, sweeping armrests that give the piece a strong architectural presence. The upholstery consists of high-quality leather in a warm cognac tone, carefully stitched to emphasize the geometric lines of the structure. The generous, soft seat and back cushions offer a comfortable contrast to the firm base.
The overall condition of the sofa is good and corresponds to its age and history. The leather has developed a characteristic patina over time, which underlines its vintage authenticity. The structure is solid and the upholstery retains its shape, proving the durability of Poltrona Frau's craftsmanship.
With its timeless Italian design and inviting form, this sofa is a statement piece of furniture that seamlessly integrates into a variety of interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to eclectic or contemporary spaces. It works well as a central element in a living room or as a stylish addition to an office or library.
