About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This set of four Plia folding chairs was designed in the 1970s by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli. The iconic design is characterized by its clean lines and innovative combination of materials, making this chair a true classic of design history. One chair is slightly damaged.
The chairs consist of a chrome-plated tubular steel frame and seats and backs made of transparent and tinted plastic (Plexiglas). The set includes chairs in various subtle shades, including transparent, brownish, and a light reddish tint. The ingenious folding mechanism allows for space-saving storage and underscores the functional sophistication of the design.
The chairs are in good condition, reflecting their age and use. The materials exhibit an authentic patina, emphasizing the vintage character of these original pieces from the 1970s.
These Plia chairs blend seamlessly into modern, minimalist, or eclectic interiors. They are ideal as flexible seating options in the dining area, in the home office, or as a stylish addition to a living room.
