Private sellerProduct description
This plated brass coffee pot from Christofle, produced in France during the 1930s, exemplifies the refined elegance of the Art Deco period. The piece is distinguished by its geometric silhouette and the striking contrast between the polished metal body and the dark, curved handle. Constructed from silver-plated brass, the coffee pot features a faceted, angular design characteristic of 1930s metalwork. The silver finish provides a brilliant, reflective surface that highlights the precise lines of the form. The black handle and finial offer a functional and visual counterpoint to the metallic body, ensuring safe handling while adding a touch of modernist sophistication. The piece bears the hallmarks of its French origin and era of production. The coffee pot remains in good condition, reflecting its age and history of use. The silver plating retains its luster, while the overall structure is sound, preserving the character and integrity of the original design. This Christofle coffee pot serves as a sophisticated addition to a formal dining setting or a curated collection of Art Deco tableware. Its timeless design allows it to integrate seamlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors, offering a functional piece of design history.
