Product description
Created in the 1950s-1960s by Belgian ceramist Hubert Bequet (1912-1985), founder of the Quaregnon earthenware factory in 1934. This large decorative dish, model N°477, perfectly illustrates his expertise, famous for his colorful pieces enhanced with gold. Made of enameled earthenware, it features an original asymmetrical leaf or shell-like shape with hand-painted stripes (green, pink, yellow, black) and a raised gilded pearl. The piece is stamped on the back “MADE IN BELGIUM - H. BEQUET QUAREGNON” with the number 477 debossed. Its dimensions are 32 cm in length, 23 cm in width, and 6 cm in height. In good general condition, the dish is neither broken nor cracked; it only shows some slight signs of age and the gilding is slightly faded in places.
