About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This rectangular ceramic platter is the work of the renowned French ceramist Robert Picault, an iconic figure of Vallauris. It is distinguished by its characteristic geometric motif, combining intersecting lines and squares, reflecting the modernist aesthetic of the period. Made of glazed ceramic, this platter features a color palette dominated by green, white, and brown, typical of Picault's creations. The freehand decoration technique gives each piece a unique character. The back of the platter bears the initials "RP," a signature authenticating the work's origin. Its generous dimensions make it both a decorative and functional object. The platter is in excellent condition, retaining all its original luster. The glossy glaze highlights the depth of the colors and the precision of the motif. The signature on the back is clearly legible, confirming its authenticity. This Robert Picault platter integrates perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern or rustic chic interior. It can be used as a centerpiece, catch-all, or simply displayed as a work of art in its own right, bringing a touch of authenticity and vintage charm to your decor.
