Product description
Superb and large tart dish (or round serving dish)
in enameled earthenware, from the famous German
manufacturer Steingutfabrik Grünstadt (located in
Rhineland-Palatinate). The reverse side features its
official period stamp molded in relief, depicting a
stylized crown surrounded by the circular inscription
"Grünstadt".
This centerpiece from the 1960s/1970s is distinguished
by its very large format of 38 cm in diameter and its
ultra-flat profile (height of 1 cm) with a slight
beveled rim. The front displays a magnificent and
generous hand-painted fruit still life decoration at
the heart of the glossy white enamel. The composition
brings together a central geometric pineapple, bunches
of grapes, a pear, plums, and apples in intense ocher
yellow, olive green, and caramel brown tones.
A collectible West German art ceramic, perfect for
enhancing the serving of your pastries or for adding
a warm vintage touch.
