Beautiful votive plaque, religious/devotional object, made of carved and openwork mother-of-pearl from Bethlehem, depicting The Last Supper, relatively recent from the 1960s-1990s. Rounded shape, finely openwork decoration on 2 planes. The background, the table in slight relief, and the apostles treated in engraving and bas-relief. Between the 2 planes, a large, heavy piece of mother-of-pearl on the back ensures good stability. The back features a foldable stand mounted on a hinge, a well-designed piece allowing display on a desk or in a devotional cabinet. A decorative ensemble, typical of religious souvenirs from the Holy Land, but larger and more detailed than current production, with a very beautiful rendering under light.
16.5cm wide, 14.3cm high, 3cm thick without the stand. Very good general condition, no chips or missing parts, functional stand, well-preserved surface. Approximately 500g.
