Large ‘Pipistrello’ table/floor lamp, model 620, designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 for Martinelli Luce. This vintage example dates from the 1970s and features a black conical metal base, a telescopic stem in satin-finished metal, and the characteristic white opal methacrylate shade. The four overlapping sections of the shade together form the characteristic wing shape from which the lamp derives its name – Italian for bat. Thanks to the telescopic mechanism, the height is adjustable, allowing the lamp to be used both on a low table and freestanding. Equipped with the original Martinelli Luce model 620 label. In good vintage condition with light signs of use consistent with its age. Dimensions: height approx. 70–86 cm, shade diameter approx. 55 cm.
