Grumpy Tree From The Series: Tree Portraits Drawing In Calligraphy Technique, Japanese Ink & Brush. Including Old Black Lacquer Frame. Certificate of Authenticity Present. Will be safely packed and shipped with T&T. My fascination with trees has gradually become known, I call them tree portraits. Visible in their form is what has happened in the life of the tree. Happily grown freely, reaching for the sky, but also tormented, bent by the wind, torn off, sawn and chopped, with fruitful seasons and always a home for birds and insects. Trees live in a different time zone with ages far exceeding ours. Year: 2023 Image size: 27 X 32 Cm. Frame size: 40 X 46 Cm. The frame is a recycled black wooden frame with signs of wear appropriate for its age. After his education at the Academie Van Beeldende Kunsten Rotterdam and Pratt Institute in New York, he mainly worked as an architect. He has been drawing realistically his entire life. Subjects are mainly character sketches of nature. Work can be found in private collections in Europe and the USA.
