Set of Pinewood Wall Lamps by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Ellysett, Markaryd, Sweden, 1960s
This set of wall lamps, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Ellysett in Markaryd, Sweden, is a beautiful example of his iconic work with pine veneer. Crafted with a wooden wall mount and standard E27 lamp holders, the semi-translucent veneer casts a warm, cozy glow that perfectly showcases Jakobsson’s exploration of light and material.
The lamps are constructed from strips of pine veneer, formed into a ring shape on a pinewood frame. This sculptural design provides both functional lighting and a distinctive artistic presence.
In very good condition, the lamps are fully labelled, with no damage to the veneer — a rare find given the fragile nature of the material. They show only very minor, age-appropriate wear and have been extremely well preserved.
An authentic and highly collectible set from the 1960s, these lamps add a warm, natural elegance to mid-century, Scandinavian, or eclectic interiors.
