About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is the Wybe bench, a design by the Dutch design brand Pilat & Pilat. The piece of furniture combines a solid wooden frame with a sleek, leather-upholstered seat and backrest, resulting in a minimalist yet robust appearance. The Wybe bench is a testament to the craftsmanship and love for natural materials for which the Frisian family business is known.
The frame of the bench is made of light oak wood, providing a warm and natural base. The seat and low backrest are upholstered in black leather, featuring stitching that divides the surface into segments. This design emphasizes the pure form and quality of the materials used, a characteristic of the Dutch Design movement. The construction is solid and focused on durability and a long lifespan.
The bench is in good, used condition. The leather has developed a characteristic patina through use, which contributes to the authentic appearance of the furniture. The wooden frame is structurally sound and shows the natural texture of the oak wood. The overall condition is consistent with its age and normal use, giving the piece of furniture a lived-in character.
Thanks to its slender and versatile design, the Wybe bench can be used in various ways in an interior. It functions excellently as a seating object behind a freestanding sofa, in a spacious hall, or as a stylish element in a waiting room or office. The bench seamlessly fits into a modern, Scandinavian, or minimalist living style.
