Vintage, minimalist armchairs made of perforated steel, presumably produced in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe around the 70s or 80s. The design is characterized by a sleek, industrial aesthetic with a transparent character thanks to the use of thin steel bars and perforated metal plates. Made of slender, black lacquered steel that forms geometric lines and keeps the chair visually light in the room. Executed in finely perforated metal (sheet steel with perforations), creating a characteristic grid pattern and an airy, transparent appearance. Equipped with integrated, narrow armrests that are also finished with perforated metal and seamlessly connect to the lines of the frame. This set of two Pilastro-style armchairs was manufactured in the Netherlands during the 1970s. The design is characterized by a distinct postmodern aesthetic, where clean lines and industrial materials come together in a functional and architectural silhouette.
The chairs are constructed entirely of black lacquered metal, with the frame consisting of slender, geometrically arranged tubes. The seat, backrest, and armrests are all made of perforated steel, giving the whole a light and transparent character. This construction method is typical of the progressive Dutch design language of this period.
The set is in excellent vintage condition. The original black finish has been well preserved, and the structural integrity of the perforated metal is fully intact, attesting to careful use over the years.
