Product description
Educational model of a pig, created by Max Landsberg in 1889. Made of hand-painted plaster, this zoological teaching piece was produced for academic use in veterinary and agricultural schools, demonstrating anatomical accuracy and breed characteristics.
The sculpture exhibits detailed modeling with realistic proportions and finely applied color tones, typical of late 19th-century German craftsmanship. The surface remains beautifully preserved with gentle patina, showing no structural damage.
A rare and authentic example of Academic Naturalism, reflecting the scientific precision and artistry of German educational model-making during the late 19th century.
