The chairs were probably made between 1970 and 1980 by the French designer and cabinetmaker Pierre Chapo and are made of solid elm with visible joinery and no metal parts. The dimensions of the seat are (width x depth): 42 x 39 cm, the seat height is 47 cm. The upper edge of the backrest is 106 cm.
The chairs come from a non-smoking household, but show the usual signs of wear and tear of a family of 5. Below is a list:
- the edges of the chairs, especially on the backrests are partially chipped.
- On one chair, there are a few dot-shaped indentations on the back of the legs
- two chairs have deeper scratches on the back of the backrest
- there are scratches and chips on the feet
- on one seat, the joints at the joints are slightly wider open than on the other chairs
- the chairs creak, especially for heavier people.
