Product description
For sale is an impressive stele by the renowned Swiss artist Pierre Casè (Locarno 1944 – Maggia 2022). Casè's work is a tribute to his native Ticino and is characterized by its material depth and archaic power.
This object is not merely a work of art, but a tangible expression of the Alpine and Mediterranean soul of Ticino.
The essence of the work:
Material Poetry: Typical of Casè's work is the passionate use of natural and organic materials (such as marble dust, sand, soot, ash, or materials from the Maggia Valley), which he integrates into the surface.
Archaic Connection: The artist's works act as bridges between modernity and the archaic symbols and myths of his homeland. The stele conveys a strong connection to the landscape, the rock formations, and the ancient walls of Ticino.
