Product description
An elegant and rare 1970s Pierre Cardin sideboard, distinguished by a sophisticated and striking design typical of the era's most sought-after creations. Crafted from high-gloss black lacquered wood, the sideboard is enhanced by refined wooden trim framing the side doors; this creates a bold color contrast and lends the piece an exceptionally elegant appearance. Its layout is both interesting and functional, featuring two side doors—each with two internal shelves—offering ample storage space, alongside a central compartment enclosed by a sliding glass door. This central section houses two shelves and incorporates a Plexiglass element that conceals two light sources, creating an evocative internal lighting effect that beautifully showcases displayed items. The combination of high-gloss black lacquer, wooden trim, glass, and internal lighting makes this sideboard a true statement piece, ideal for displaying glassware, collectibles, or decorative objects. The lacquer shows normal signs of wear and age—consistent with the piece's vintage nature—as visible in the photographs. These characteristics are part of its authenticity and vintage condition.
