Product description
This is a decorative statue depicting Phra Aphai Mani, the hero from the Thai epic poem of the same name. The statue shows the character in a seated posture, engrossed in playing his magical flute, a characteristic element from the story.
The figurine is made of a metal alloy (bronze) with a dark, almost black patina, accented with gold-colored details on the clothing, jewelry, and headdress. The figure sits cross-legged, a classic pose that radiates tranquility and concentration.
This type of traditional Thai figurine was manufactured using an ancient casting technique: the lost-wax method, mainly between 1940 and 1980.
