Ceiling lamp designed by Louis Christiaan Kalff for Philips. The shade is made of thin glass fiber; this was a forerunner of plastic lighting fixtures in the 1950s. Glass fiber is transparent, so the light shines through it with a nice warm tint. Also, the lamp gives a nice reflection on the ceiling. This ceiling lamp is a wonderful example of Dutch design from the 1950s . The lamp is in clean vintage condition and working with signs of use befitting its age. See pictures for a good impression . Total height ; 24 cm. Diameter 45 cm. Large socket E27.
