Product description
This is a Philips Infraphil infrared lamp, an iconic design from the mid-20th century. The piece is characterized by its sculptural form and striking color contrast, making it a classic example of Space Age design.
The lamp is made with a cream-colored lacquered metal housing and base, accented by a distinctive red metal ring that surrounds the lamp head and functions as a swivel mechanism. The large, dark red 150W infrared lamp is an original Philips part, contributing to the authenticity of the object. This model was produced in the Netherlands and was popular at the time for therapeutic purposes.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, retaining its original finish and components. The colors are still vibrant, and the object has a characteristic patina consistent with its age. The original wiring and plug are present and contribute to its vintage appearance.
