Product description
A very extensively customized 1950s fixture by Philips. Originally, these explosion-proof fixtures were mainly suspended from steel cables in factory halls. The complete internal fluorescent electrical system has been removed. The entire unit has been disassembled, all aluminum castings polished, and two dimmable Philinea LED filament tubes have been reinstalled with top and bottom reflectors. In the lower compartment at the rear, a switching manually operated dimmer has been placed. Additionally, there is a switch that independently controls four blue neon lights, which are placed in the original condensation drain holes (see photos). These lights can optionally remain on full-time as mood lights... Can be mounted over a fixed power point in a wall or connected via a plug cable. This lamp fixture has only been executed once in the configuration described above... Ai; This is an authentic industrial Wall light by Philips, model Hellux, expertly transformed for contemporary use. Originally designed as a robust fluorescent fixture, this piece combines the indestructible aesthetic of the mid-20th century with modern lighting technology. The fixture is made from a combination of cast aluminum and a thick-walled glass tube, emphasizing its durability and industrial character. The original fluorescent lighting has been replaced by multiple energy-efficient LED filament tubes that emit a warm, atmospheric light, similar to that of traditional incandescent bulbs. This modification makes the lamp immediately suitable for a modern interior. The lamp is in excellent condition, retaining the original patina on the metalwork that gives it its authentic, lived-in appearance. The wiring has been completely renewed to meet current safety standards, making the lamp both functional and reliable. The combination of the old design and new technology results in a unique and characterful lighting object. This Hellux Wall light is a striking statement piece that fits perfectly into an industrial, vintage, or eclectic interior.
