The 'Tisch Un' dining table is a design by Philippe Starck for the Aleph collection by Driade. This square model combines a striking wooden top with sleek, tapered metal legs, resulting in a distinctive postmodern silhouette.
From the first owner, purchased in the late 1980s at 'Binnenhuis' in Amsterdam.
The tabletop is crafted from wood with an inlay pattern that creates a subtle geometric effect, finished with a glossy lacquer coating. The four metal legs (aluminum) feature the designer's stamped signature, confirming the authenticity of the piece. The table measures 135 by 135 centimeters, 75 cm high, providing ample seating for four people.
The table is in good condition with an authentic character. The original finish has been preserved and displays a light patina consistent with the age and use of the furniture. The tabletop has a few shallow scratches; a new matte lacquer coating is recommended. This design comes into its own perfectly in a modern or eclectic interior. The combination of warm wood tones and cool metal makes it a versatile centerpiece for the dining room, which pairs well with both minimalist and more distinctive dining chairs.
