This beautifully crafted, colored glass vase named "Ice" is from the famous designs of Pertti Santalahti. In this design, geometric and organic shapes come together in an asymmetrical statement. A cool object for any interior or office. The glass shows a color gradient from brown / ocher to almost transparent at the bottom. This vase has an etched signature of the designer on the bottom. Pertti Juhani Santalahti was a Finnish designer. He studied at the Arts and Crafts Institute in the sculpture department. In 1962 he graduated as a designer. Kupittaan Savi, Nuutajärven Lasi, Alsterfors Lasitehdas (Sweden), Arabia Keramikke Tehdas and Hackman Iittala are some of the companies he designed for. From 1971-1981 he was a product developer at the Humppila glass factory and since 1974 artistic director. His works are in many collections, such as the City of Helsinki Art Collections in Finland, the Finnish Glass Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tampere, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Kunstsammlungen der Veste in Coburg and The British Crafts Center in London .
