This ceramic sculpture is a work by the Belgian artist Elisabeth Vandeweghe for Perignem, featuring typical eyes, dating from the 60s or 70s. The piece is representative of the figurative style that characterized much of the ceramics from the Perignem studio during that period. The sculpture is made of ceramic and depicts a sitting child. The skin is rendered in unglazed, earthy terracotta tones, while the tunic has a textured white glaze and the hair a dark, almost black glaze.
