This is a set of two 'Musling' Bowls, designed by the Danish glass master Per Lütken for Royal Copenhagen. The design, which translates to 'mussel', is a characteristic example of Lütken's organic modernism, inspired by the natural forms of the Scandinavian coastline. The Bowls are made of clear, thick-walled crystal glass. The design consists of a cluster of stylized mussel shells that create a tactile and visually layered pattern, uniquely capturing and reflecting light. With a diameter of 24 centimeters, these pieces are representative of the Danish craftsmanship of Holmegaard, where Lütken was artistic director and many of his designs for Royal Copenhagen were produced. The overall condition of the set is very good, testifying to careful use over the years. The glass has retained its original clarity and shine, and its structural and aesthetic quality is fully intact. The Bowls are an authentic example of Danish glass design from the mid-20th century.
