Memphis Milano was a postmodern Italian design collective in the 80s. Its design drew inspiration from Art Deco, pop art, and kitsch from the 50s. Characteristics of the Memphis Milano style were/are: bright colors, kitschy style, powerful geometric shapes, unique color and pattern combinations, and asymmetry.
WLP was primarily an active producer and distributor of lighting fixtures in the 70s and 80s, both in the Netherlands and West Germany. Sometimes the country is also indicated on the label (Holland or West Germany). Here, the country is not mentioned on the label.
