A pendant lamp by the Italian manufacturer Giorgetti, belonging to the Planet collection. This lighting object is characterized by a series of concentric rings. The outer rings are covered with a woven textile in a neutral beige shade, which provides a warm and diffuse light distribution. The internal structure is made of metal and supports a central diffuser that evenly distributes the light. The lamp is an example of the craftsmanship and attention to material use for which Giorgetti is known.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, with a character appropriate for its age. The outer rings have retained their shape and color well. The glue of the seam of the inner light-colored ring has come loose and it shows minimal dents.
This piece was purchased approximately fifteen years ago at the Classic interior fair in Kortrijk at the Giorgetti stand, which provides clear provenance.
This pendant lamp is a statement piece that comes into its own particularly well above a dining table, in a living room, or in a high hall. The design fits seamlessly into both modern and classic interiors, where it adds an atmospheric and refined accent.
