Beautiful and rare original 1972 München Olympic poster designed by German artist Paul Wunderlich. The poster reflects Wunderlich’s distinctive artistic language and his important role in postwar German graphic art. Paul Wunderlich studied at the Landeskunstschule in Hamburg and became known for his highly distinctive figurative style, influenced by Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Surrealism. He worked as a professor at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg. Generally good condition with some small signs of age and minor spots or marks. Please see the photos for details. The poster is sold unframed. Any frame shown in the photo is for display purposes only and is not included. Securely packaged and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube.
