About the artist
Patty Harpenau initially made a name for himself with neo-Cobra-like and sometimes Pop-Art leaning works. In this she went in search of the child in the artist. Gradually she became inspired by the aspect of the woman behind the artist. Since then, Patty Harpenau has increasingly sought more depth, both in herself and in her paintings.
Inspiration
She has developed various themes over the years: after the woman, the search for perfect simplicity, the origin of art and creativity, Tarot and the Dutch landscape followed. The naive, playful character of the past has made way for a mature, personal signature.
