An authentic extendable dining table, model TU30, designed by Cees Braakman for the Dutch manufacturer Pastoe. This piece is a characteristic example from the famous 'Japanse Serie', known for its sleek, minimalist aesthetic and functional design.
The table is made with a white top, probably of formica or a similar laminate, resting on a chrome-plated metal frame. The design is a prime example of Dutch Design from the Mid-Century Modern period. The dimensions are practical and flexible: the table has a length of 122 cm, which can easily be extended to 170 cm. The width is 80 cm and the height is 70 cm, offering a comfortable seating height for various chairs.
The overall condition of the table is good and in line with its age and use, which contributes to its vintage character. The construction is solid and the extension mechanism functions properly, underscoring the durability of Pastoe craftsmanship.
With its timeless and versatile appearance, this dining table is an elegant addition to various interior styles, from modern to retro and Scandinavian. The piece of furniture can serve as a compact dining table for daily use or as a spacious workspace.
