About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This set of four SM07 dining chairs was designed by Cees Braakman for the renowned Dutch manufacturer Pastoe. The design is characterized by a sleek, minimalist form language typical of post-war Dutch Design, where functionality and a clear construction take center stage. The chairs are crafted with a robust black metal frame that provides a stable base. Three of the chairs are upholstered in a fresh, mint-green textile, while the fourth features a contrasting grey fabric with a subtle geometric pattern. This combination of materials and colors emphasizes the versatility of the design and the industrial aesthetic of the 1960s. The set is in good condition, commensurate with its age and previous use. The chairs retain their structural integrity and original character, contributing to the authentic appearance of these vintage pieces. These Pastoe SM07 chairs look excellent in a modern or industrial interior. They form a stylish and functional addition to a dining table, where they offer both comfort and a piece of Dutch design history.
