Product description
Beautiful, iconic, and unique!!
That's this nesting table (also called nesting tables) from Pastoe, designed for this manufacturer in the 1960s by Cees Braakman from his Japan Series.
The original Pastoe stickers are still on.
The tables have a white laminated top, teak sides, and a black metal frame.
Features
Designer: Cees Braakman.
Manufacturer: Pastoe (UMS Pastoe).
Series: "Japanese Series" or "Japan Series".
Period: 1960s.
Materials: The tables have a black square metal frame, white laminated tops, and teak sides.
Style: Minimalist Dutch design, where the tops appear to float above the frames.
Dimensions (largest table): Height 41 cm, width 68 cm, depth 41 cm.
Dimensions (smallest table): Height 38 cm, width 41 cm, depth 30 cm.
The "Japanese series" included various pieces of furniture, including dining tables, coffee tables, sideboards, and cabinets, all with similar clean lines and material choices.
This series is often exhibited in museums and at art fairs.
The tables generally still look very beautiful. Of course, some signs of wear have developed over time; see photos.
They can be shipped in a large parcel via PostNL.
