About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This Pastoe sofa bed is a characteristic example of functional Dutch design from the mid-twentieth century. The sleek, minimalist silhouette and ingenious construction make this piece of furniture a sought-after object for lovers of modernist design.
The sofa is upholstered in a mottled, grey-green-blue textile fabric that adds a subtle texture to the surface. The base consists of slender metal legs that give the whole piece an airy appearance. The seat can be easily pulled out, transforming the sofa into a comfortable bed. A matching, loose cushion offers extra support and flexibility in use.
The furniture is in good condition, commensurate with its age and previous use. The new upholstery and the metal frame have retained their structural integrity, testifying to Pastoe's high-quality production standards.
This sofa bed looks excellent in a modern or Scandinavian-inspired interior. It is a versatile addition to a living room, study, or guest room, where it can serve as both a seating unit and an extra sleeping place.
