Refined pair of small French mid-20th century curved vintage chests of drawers.
Each piece features a delicate galbé or curved front, a characteristic that accentuates the influence of Louis XVI style furniture, reinterpreted here with a contemporary sensibility.
Executed in ebonized wood, these chests of drawers exhibit a patinated finish with subtle dark turquoise nuances, which gives their surface a deep and unique chromatic richness. The sobriety of the ebonization is softened by these tones, which also bring a vintage feel to the piece. The structure rests on four stylized, curved cabriole legs. The tops, with sinuous lines and a molding gently decorated with aged gold, elegantly crown the ensemble.
Each chest of drawers consists of three clean-closing drawers, subtly integrated into the body, without visible handles, which adds modernity and formal purity to the ensemble.
These pieces, halfway between classic and modern, are ideal both as auxiliary bedroom furniture and as prominent elements in entrance halls, living rooms or corridors. Their sober aesthetic, yet full of intention, makes them an exceptional choice for interiors that value uniqueness, the art of French furniture and the charm of timelessness.
