Product description
'Adia' Bed by Paolo Piva for B&B Italia (1980s)
Overview
Elevate your sleeping space with the iconic 'Adia' bed, designed by the visionary architect Paolo Piva for B&B Italia in the 1980s. A masterclass in postmodern Italian design and structural elegance, this piece features a low-profile platform silhouette, integrated swivel side tables, and customized luxury upholstery. It effortlessly bridges the gap between high-end architectural sculpture and everyday comfort.
Key Features
Italian Architectural Precision: Masterfully engineered by Paolo Piva, showcasing sleek dark metal framing paired with patinated brass/bronze feet for a refined, floating visual effect.
Integrated Swivel Nightstands: Features built-in, cantilevered round side tables extending seamlessly from the frame—keeping essentials close while preserving a clean, minimalist footprint.
Reimagined Upholstery: Customized with dual adjustable/swiveling headrests reupholstered in rich ochre yellow mohair velvet. The warm, plush texture provides a striking contrast to the deep, structural frame.
Versatile Design Statement: Works beautifully as a centerpiece bed frame or an expansive lounge daybed in high-end interiors, design galleries, or boutique spaces.
