The internal coupling line and the masterfully executed filo lucido (polished bevel) perimeter grinding concentrate ambient light, creating a stunning emerald/Nile green optical refraction along the edges. One side features a standard clear mirror for daytime precision, while the reverse side is engineered with a dark fumé/bronzed mirror designed to reduce glare under artificial evening lights, transforming the object into a minimalist monolith when at rest.Naval Engineering & Kinetic Joints: The crystal sheet is chemically sealed and integrated inside two custom slotted cylindrical steel mounts without exposed screws, a manufacturing technique reminiscent of Caliari’s advanced nautical architecture. The 360-degree rotation is operated via a perfectly flush friction-pivot inserted into the single, asymmetrical flat side support arm, ensuring absolute formal cleanliness.The Structural Base: Heavy, solid single-plate stainless steel (or spetially spazzolato/satinato heavy metal) base with counterweight proportions to prevent tipping during rotation. Features machine-brushed finishing with a pristine, un-restored original vintage patina and minor age-related superficial oxidation, certifying its genuine historical state.
