Sustainable and environmentally conscious By complementing your interior with vintage items, you are being environmentally conscious. No new raw materials need to be used for this product. If you choose vintage, you use what is already there, and that makes it sustainable. You might not give these objects a second, but even a third or fourth life. Vintage products are of high quality that last for several lifetimes for a reason. Behind every vintage product is a story. The often minimal signs of wear offer a glimpse into the life of the previous owner. The extent to which these signs of wear are present is stated in the description. Photos are part of this description. Please examine them carefully. Vintage (read: used) items sometimes show colour variations, uneven wear and/or normal wear. Please take this into account when making your purchase.
This is a children's chair executed in the style of Verner Panton's iconic S-chair. The design, dating from approximately 2000, is made of ABS plastic and reflects the revolutionary formal language of the original. The chair is a tribute to one of the most recognizable designs of the 20th century, specially scaled for a younger user.
The chair is cast from a single piece of black plastic, resulting in a seamless, flowing line. This cantilevered construction, without rear legs, was a technical innovation at the time of the original design and remains a hallmark of modern design. The finish of the plastic has a slight texture, which is both visual and functional.
The object is in good, used condition, consistent with its age and intended use. The structural integrity is fully intact, and the characteristic shape is well preserved. The chair shows a patina that tells the story of its previous life.
This children's chair is a playful and stylish addition to a child's room, play area, or a modern interior. It functions not only as a seat but also as a decorative object that can introduce an early appreciation for design history.
When shipped, the item will be carefully packed to prevent damage.
