Product description
This is the iconic 'Panthère noire' sculpture, designed by the renowned French sculptor François Pompon. The work displays the characteristic stylized and flowing lines that made Pompon famous in the early twentieth century, capturing the essence of the animal in a minimalist form.
The sculpture features a deep black finish and rests on an elegant, oval marble base in a light cream color. The contrasting materials and colors emphasize the powerful and graceful posture of the panther. The sculpture is signed and numbered, indicating a limited edition.
The object is in excellent condition, with the smooth finish of the panther and the natural veining of the marble beautifully preserved. The signature and numbering are clearly legible on the animal's paws.
This sculpture is a refined addition to a classic or modern interior. The work comes into its own perfectly on a sideboard, in a display cabinet, or as a striking centerpiece on a coffee table, where it adds a touch of Art Deco elegance to the room.
