About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This lounge chair by Grete Jalk is an outstanding example of Danish mid-century design. Its organic lines and masterful wood craftsmanship make it a highly sought-after collector's item.
The chairs are crafted from exquisite rosewood, known for its distinctive grain and warm color. The design features curved armrests and an open backrest, giving the piece a light and elegant silhouette. The seat is upholstered in black leather. The 'Danish Furniture Makers Control' and 'PJ' (Poul Jeppesen) hallmarks attest to its authentic origin and the high quality of Danish craftsmanship.
The chairs are in good condition, commensurate with their age and use. The wood surfaces have developed a beautiful patina that enhances their character.
Three chairs are upholstered in Designers Guild fabric. One chair and the footstool are covered in sheepskin.
This lounge chair integrates beautifully into Scandinavian-inspired or contemporary interiors. It not only provides comfortable seating but also serves as a sculptural element in the living space.
The footstool is included with the purchase of all four armchairs.
