About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This pair of vintage chairs is attributed to the French designer Jacques Hitier, a leading figure in post-war design. This model is distinguished by its tubular silhouette, characteristic of the period, offering an aesthetic that is both light and structured.
The frame is made of black lacquered tubular metal, supporting an upholstered seat and back. The fabric upholstery features a bold geometric pattern of multicolored scales in shades of azure blue, emerald green, bronze, and gold. This combination of materials and colors reflects the creative spirit of mid-20th-century design.
The metal frame is untouched and in good overall condition, retaining all its original character. The seat and back have been reupholstered in a French-made "Sirocco" fabric, which evokes the spirit of the 1950s/60s.
These chairs would be perfectly at home around a dining table or as accent chairs in a living room. Their distinctive design fits perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern or eclectic style interior, bringing a touch of color and history to your space.
