Pair of Elm Burl & Beaded Fillet Style Frames – Genre Scenes
Object Description
Superb set of two matching frames in genuine burl veneer (elm or walnut), offering a moiré grain and very decorative wood "eyes". Each frame is enhanced with a gold leaf (or high-quality imitation) beaded fillet on the inner edge, adding a touch of classic elegance.
The frames feature two 19th-century genre scenes after the artist Adrien Moreau (1843-1906), famous for his depictions of aristocratic life:
Reception at the Château
Outdoor entertainment scene (to be confirmed based on your second visual)
