Product description
Exceptional pair of Space Age pendant lights produced in Kamenický Šenov, Czechoslovakia, in the 1970s. Each pendant features a sculptural white opaline glass shade distinguished by a pronounced concentric ribbed pattern that creates a striking architectural effect both illuminated and unlit. The rounded, UFO-inspired form is paired with black lacquered metal fittings and chrome-plated suspension rods, giving the design a strong graphic quality typical of the Space Age era. The suspension system is height adjustable, allowing the overall drop to be adapted to different spaces and installations. Displayed together, the two pendants create an impressive symmetrical composition and would work particularly well above a dining table, kitchen island or in a large living space. The opaline glass provides soft, evenly diffused illumination while emphasizing the dimensional ribbed surface of the shades. The lights have been professionally rewired with new electrical components and are fitted with E26/E27 sockets. They are compatible with US electrical systems. Good vintage condition with minor signs of use and age consistent with their period.
