ProfessionalProduct description
This pair of Art Deco armchairs, produced in the Czech Republic during the 1930s, exemplifies the era's commitment to sweeping, aerodynamic forms. The design is defined by its dramatic, continuous bentwood armrests that curve gracefully to form the rear legs, creating a striking profile that balances structural integrity with visual lightness. The chairs are constructed with solid walnut frames, which have been fully repolished to highlight the rich, dark grain of the wood. They have been newly upholstered in a crisp white leather, accented with contrasting red piping that traces the contours of the seat and backrest. The back features a row of white leather-covered studs, adding a tailored detail to the upholstery. The combination of the dark walnut and the bright white leather creates a classic Art Deco contrast. These armchairs are in perfect, fully restored condition. The repolished walnut frames show a deep, even lustre, and the new leather upholstery is pristine, reflecting a comprehensive and careful restoration process. These armchairs are well-suited for a refined living room, a private study, or a sophisticated lounge area. Their strong architectural lines and classic colourway allow them to anchor a space, pairing effectively with both period-specific Art Deco interiors and contemporary, minimalist settings. Ref.: 3617
