Designed in 1980 by the Italian-Argentine duo Giancarlo Piretti and Emilio Ambasz, the Dorsal chair embodies modernity and ergonomics. Piretti was already renowned for his innovative creations, such as the famous Plia chair for Anonim Castelli. Manufactured in Italy by Openark, briefly during the 1980s, it perfectly complements the futuristic style and office spaces of the era. Ergonomics and comfort: the adjustable backrest adapts to the user's body shape. Futuristic design: plastic and steel are emblematic materials of 1980s design. The designer, Giancarlo Piretti, is a leading figure in Italian design, particularly thanks to his early creations held at MoMA.
