Product description
This pair of armchairs is manufactured by Jitona, one of Czechoslovakia's major state furniture producers, dating from the 1960s. Jitona was known for practical, well-built seating with clean mid-century lines. With a compact 60 x 70 cm footprint and a 37 cm seat height, these chairs offer a low, comfortable seating position suited to a living room or reading corner. The original brand label is present.
Condition and Character
Original condition with signs of use, fading, and a structural break on the frame of one chair. Both chairs are comfortable and stable, and the pair is usable as-is. However, one of the chairs has a break on the frame at the front which should be addressed during any refurbishment. There is also some fading and scratches on both chairs consistent with age and use. A full refurbishment is recommended to get the most from the pair.
