Product description
This pair of bentwood armchairs is attributed to Jindřich Halabala, the Czech designer celebrated for his sweeping, continuous-curve armrests produced through the interwar decades. The chairs retain their original floral tapestry upholstery and compact tapered legs, with the gently looping bentwood arms as the defining feature. A pair together, they suit a living room seating area or a reading corner.
Condition and Character
**Original condition with signs of age and wear, recommended for refurbishment.**
The tapestry upholstery shows fraying and worn patches at the seat fronts, along with general discoloring from age. The bentwood arms show light scratching, and there is a small amount of movement in the arm joints on both chairs. The chairs remain usable as is and offer a strong base for reupholstery and a tightening of the joints. Please review the detailed photos closely to inspect the exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
