Product description
This striking pair of mid-century modern lounge armchairs is a fantastic example of Hungarian post-war functionalist design from the 1960s. The chairs stand out with their eye-catching, original deep blue faux leather upholstery, a bold color choice characteristic of the era's optimistic style. Supported by a clean, minimalist solid wooden frame featuring elegantly sloped angular armrests and classic tapered legs, they offer a beautiful contrast between the rich wood tones and the vivid upholstery.
With their compact footprints and ergonomic design, this pair effortlessly maximizes seating comfort without crowding a room. They make an ideal design addition to a mid-century modern living room, office lobby, or a minimalist apartment corner looking for an authentic splash of retro character.
Condition & Character
The armchairs are preserved in their original vintage condition, showcasing an honest, well-cared-for history.
Structure: Both wooden frames are structurally stable and sturdy, with firm joints ensuring reliable support for everyday use.
Upholstery: The blue faux leather is original. It shows standard signs of use and age-appropriate wear consistent with its vintage nature, retaining its vibrant tone beautifully.
Wood Finish: The solid timber frames display a natural vintage patina with minor surface scuffs and typical wear that adds to their authentic mid-century charm.
Inspection: To properly evaluate the fine details of the fabric, finish, and overall structural integrity, please review the detailed photos carefully.
