Pair of decorative cast stone lions depicting seated lions holding a shield adorned with a fleur-de-lis. Their iconography is rooted in the French heraldic tradition, the fleur-de-lis being historically associated with royalty and widely reinterpreted in late 19th-century neo-medieval ornamentation. The lions feature a stylized mane with generous locks and deliberately expressive modeling, characteristic of garden ornament productions from this period. Over time, the surface has developed a beautiful outdoor patina with traces of moss and lichen, attesting to long outdoor use. Designed to be displayed as a pair, they were traditionally placed on either side of an entrance, a staircase, or a gate, lending a strong decorative presence and architectural character to the garden.
