Product description
This is a pair of chairs designed by André Cordemeyer for the Dutch manufacturer Gispen, representing a classic example of mid-century functionalism. The design is characterized by its clean lines, minimalist form, and the integration of industrial materials, making it a notable piece from the Dutch Design movement.
Constructed with a tubular metal frame in a silver finish, the chairs feature seats, backrests, and armrests upholstered in black Skai or a similar synthetic leather. The dimensions are approximately 80 cm in height, 55 cm in width, and 50 cm in depth, with a comfortable seat height of 47 cm. Produced in the Netherlands, this pair showcases the practical and durable construction typical of Gispen furniture.
The chairs are presented in a good, vintage condition that reflects their history and use. They maintain their structural integrity and original materials, bearing a character and patina that has developed over time. The overall appearance is consistent with authentic pieces from this era.
With their versatile and timeless aesthetic, these chairs are well-suited for a variety of interiors. They can function as dining chairs, accent seating in a living area, or as stylish additions to a home office, complementing Mid-Century Modern, Industrial, or minimalist decor schemes.
