Original pair of “Corner” bookcases designed by Marcello Morandini for Rosenthal, Germany, circa 1984. An iconic example of 1980s postmodern design, characterized by a distinctive zigzag geometric structure that creates a composition with an almost sculptural and architectural effect. The pair consists of two complementary bookcases, designed to be used together as a single composition, but can also be used separately. The contrast between the black and the characteristic blue/turquoise border gives the bookcases a highly distinctive graphic look, making them not only functional elements, but true pieces of design furniture in their own right.
