Product description
A striking pair of vintage ceramic wall plaques by Ceramano REA, produced in West Germany during the 1970s. Featuring stylised botanical compositions in vibrant cobalt blue and turquoise against a warm ivory background, both pieces are surrounded by a clean white border. This distinctive blue colourway is considerably less common than the more frequently encountered brown version, making the matching set a particularly interesting find.
One plaque depicts elongated leaves and circular floral motifs - SPRING -, while the other presents a whimsical arrangement of geometric trees and snow/stars - WINTER -. Their sculptural reliefs, intricate incised patterns and contrasting glazed surfaces capture the playful spirit of mid-century European design. Both are signed REA on the front and retain their original manufacturer's markings and hanging wires on the reverse.
Each measures approximately 27 × 27 cm and is in good vintage condition. Sold together as a pair.
